Alongside her passion for the current contemporary art exhibition-making, programming and art writing in museums and galleries, Simona has developed a keen interest and practice of Italian Renaissance Dance.
This is one of the most refined expressions of the beauty and formal perfection of the glorious Florentine past. According to the dance masters of the time the practice of virtuosity both in dance and in music is a means for human being of raising themselves to the grace of God.
Simona has trained as a dancer and performer with the most reputable experts in Europe, both in Italy and in France, as well as performed extensively in Florence and UK.
Her approach to early dance is focused on the reconstruction of gesture, style and costumes from the original sources.

Simona Cavaliere has many years of experience in Early Dance: she has studied Italian Renaissance Dance with Bruna Gondoni and Marco Bendoni, Baroque Dance with Cecilia Gracio Moura as well as Spanish Baroque Dance with Ana Yepes.
